Here are steps to install Blueman in a clean Fedora 10 made by live image:
- # yum install yum-fastestmirror
- # yum clean all
- # yum install make gcc yum-utils rpmdevtools
- # yum install intltool
- # yum install python-devel
- # yum install Pyrex
- # yum install pygtk2
- # yum install pygtk2-devel
- # yum install startup-notification-devel
- # yum install dbus-devel glib2-devel
- # yum install byacc flex bison
- please read my post to solve bluez problem.
After installed bluez and then run configue, make and make install. You may enjoy Bluetooth now.

Blueman is a GTK+ Bluetooth Manager
Blueman is designed to provide simple, yet effective means for controlling BlueZ API and simplifying bluetooth tasks such as:
- Connecting to 3G/EDGE/GPRS via dial-up
- Connecting to/Creating bluetooth networks
- Connecting to input devices
- Connecting to audio devices
- Sending/Receiving/Browsing files via OBEX
- Pairing
Blueman also integrates with Network Manager 0.7, so any Dialup/Network connections will be made available (via HAL) to Network Manager.

Currently, I am using Blueman 1.10 in my Ubuntu 9.04. Actually, it is a excellent program for BlueZ UI except for a few tiny bugs.
You can connect HID, FTP, OPP, PAN, SPP, A2DP, HFP by UI without any CLI command. It is really a better program than gnome-bluetooth.

Although Blueman still needs improvement on its robustbility, it has more support on Bluetooth profiles.
Blueman is a GTK+ bluetooth management utility for GNOME using bluez dbus backend. The aim is to create a full featured graphical bluetooth manager for Linux.
